Come Try Day - 31st May 2026We are excited to announce our Women’s Introduction to Motorsport event. We are calling all women to come and try Motorsport.
ABOUT THE EVENT
SUNDAY 31st May 2026
Attention all aspiring female motorsport enthusiasts! The Western District Car Club is excited to invite you to our first Women’s Introduction to Khanacross event. This is a fantastic opportunity to dive into the exhilarating world of motorsport, meet like-minded women, and gain hands-on experience with guidance from industry professionals.
The day will begin at 9am and has a limit of 25 entries. Entries close 10pm 29th May 2026. Late entries will not be accepted except at the discretion of WDCC – so get your registrations in ASAP to ensure you don’t miss out on this empowering event that promises to fuel your passion for racing.
Who can register: Women and gender non-conforming from age 12 and up. This is event is designed for those with a foundational knowledge of motorsport (eg. have attended at least one Women’s Intro event or other motorsport event such as khanacross, motorkhana, time trial etc.). Experience will be assessed before acceptance of entry. WDCC reserves the right to refuse entry based on suitability to participate. A full refund of all fees payable will be issued in the instance of entry refusal.
Venue: Geelong Motorsport Complex, 55 Beach Rd Avalon, Victoria 3212.
Entry Fee: $50 per person, paid by direct deposit PRIOR to the event.
Time: Sign on and scrutineering opens at 9:00am. Compulsory drivers briefing is at 9:45am. Event commences at 10:00am. Event concludes around 3:00pm.
Catering: Snacks and Non-Alcoholic Beverages will be provided for morning tea. BYO lunch or purchase from nearby service station on the day.
Supplementary Regulations
Car Requirements:
Vehicles must be presented in a safe to operate condition and will undergo a scrutineering check by officials at the venue.
All loose items must be removed from the interior of the vehicle. All vehicles must be fitted with a fire extinguisher and comply with current Motorsport Australia Khanacross regulations and vehicle safety requirements prior to the event. Vehicles must meet the relevant Motorsport Australia Schedule A, Schedule B and Group 4K – Khanacross Cars requirements, including general safety items such as secure battery mounting, fire extinguisher, seatbelts, and overall vehicle condition. Helmets are required for this event. Club helmets are available to borrow on the day if required.
Long sleeve, non-flammable clothing is highly recommended for this event.
The club has available to loan two manual and two auto vehicles. Car hire is $30 per person and payable via direct deposit PRIOR to the event.
Vehicle will be supplied in a safe and ready to operate condition.
